7 – 11 September 2009,  the 8^th International Research and Practical Conference “Digital Century of Culture” took place in a picturesque place in Moscow region at the territory of a comfortable hotel.
 

The organizers of the conference were:

• Main Information and Calculation Centre of Rusculture
• Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation
• Foundation "Digital Century of Culture”

Among the general subject matters of the conference there had to be named the following ones:

• “Informational Society: Centre and Provinces”;
• “Modern Technologies of Account and Storage of Museum Exhibits and Collections   Inside Museums”;
• “Information Technologies in Education”;
• “Digital Libraries”.
