26 May 2015 — the Open Door Day at the RSL 29.05.2015

 26 May 2015 the Russian State Library hosted the Open Dorr Day. As it had been expected, the point of a special attention turned out to be National Digital Library (NDL) with its problems of development and usage.

The guests of the Open Door events got consultations of highly – qualified specialists on a broad circle of matters concerning library work. For the participants there were organized excursions to the Pashkov House, Book Museum, Main Storage Building where they were offered the latest products of the “Pashkov Dom” publishing house, journals edited at the RSL and other organizations.

The Open Door Day agenda also included an online broadcast of a plenary meeting, which is now available on the official website of the Russian association of digital libraries www.aselibrary.ru.
This year among other events of the day there took place a discussion of the representatives of the Dissertation Department of the RSL with their colleagues from dissertation councils and the Department of attestation of science and education staff of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation. The main topic was a legal deposit for the RSL and Ministry of Science and Education. Besides, the guests were invited to the exhibition of uniquely – framed originals of dissertations of 50-90s.
