3^rd April 2013 Moscow State Academy of Law named after O. E. Kutafin (MSAL) hosted the International research and practical conference. The event was devoted to the 80th anniversary of the library of the MSAL. About 80 chief specialists of the sphere of library business, new information technologies, representatives of national and international aggregators of information electronic resources and electronic library systems, as well as publishers of literature on Law, scientists and teachers of Russian higher education institutions attended the event.

The top theme of the conference was development of electronic resources in the sphere of study of law and law itself. The participants of the conference exchanged experience and discussed the state of affairs, problems, prospects and tendencies of forming the market of electronic information resources in Russia and abroad.

The greeting speech and congratulations from the Russian State Library were pronounced by the deputy director general on ITs Igor Gruzdev. The Russian State Library presented the library of the MSAL with the deluxe edition of Mea’s poem “Saviour”.

A gift of a particular importance was the certificate authorizing the library of the MSAL to provide access to the Digital Dissertation Library of the Russian State Library (DDL RSL) for one calendar year.

The head of the Department of support of access to digital resources of the RSL Olga Nikulina presented her speech “Digital resources of the RSL”. She enumerated the stages of development of the collection of the Digital library of the RSL, spoke on its contents, rules of organization and access. Apart from that there was presented the service of the RSL “Testing texts for plagiarism against the DDL RSL collection with usage of the “Antiplagiat.RSL” system”. Besides she described the work of the newly – opened Internet store of the RSL services, which would broaden the range of possibilities of cooperation of library and remote user.

Within the framework of the conference there took place an exhibition of legal literature, where visitors could get acquainted to modern editions on methodology worked out to improve the quality of law studying in Russia.
