An event of a particular interest turned out to be the “INFORMATIO 2013” conference which took place 27 and 28 November 2013. The event gathered leading specialists of the sphere of informational resources for science from the whole world. As a representative of the Russian State Library there was chosen Nina Avdeeva, head of the Administrative department of managing and monitoring service for clients of the RSL. Ms Avdeeva spoke to the audience with “Digital resources of the RSL – development, usage, access” and “Antiplagiat.RSL as a solution of national problems”. Afterwards she answered the questions on the themes of her speeches and shared with her colleagues from abroad the acquired experience of development of scientific electronic resources.

 

At the forum the participants discussed the problems of usage of databases, digital libraries, document archives, as well as systems of electronic delivery of documents, etc. Besides they exchanged numerous information materials reflecting main aspects of activity of their organizations.

 

Apart from participation in the forum, Nina Avdeeva presented her speeches at other events. The speeches were:

 

– “Preserving cultural heritage” with the experience of development of Digital Library of the RSL and of the National Digital Library, as well as with an outlook of the activity of the Russian Association of Digital Libraries as a leading information portal in the library milieu;

– “Digital dissertation library of the RSL – basis for development of scientific search” with the ideas on a new usage of information resources for research work.

 

In conclusion the organizers and participants of the forum unanimously pointed out the importance of events of such level for their results would certainly prompt new ideas for enriching national science and culture for every of the participant states.
