14th International Research and Practical Conference “Digital Century of Culture” 25.09.2015
14 – 18 September grand hotel “OKA” (Nizhniy Novgorod) hosted 14th International research and practical conference “Digital Century of Culture”.
The conference was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Library and the Russian Association of Digital Libraries (NPP “ELBI”).
The main theme of the conference was “National Digital Library”. 
As a part of a good tradition, the conference covered the following matters in its work: ways of informatization at diverse establishments of culture (libraries, museums, theatres, etc.), of science and of education, and of leading IT companies, as well as preservation of cultural heritage and making it widely accessible for the public. The participants would also get acquainted with the latest achievements in the sphere of computer and internet technologies (development of electronic resources and, in particular, of digital libraries, searching and storing information).
The speeches and discussions of the 2015 conference were devoted to:
·         Electronic resources and collections
·         Copyright
·         Digital libraries
·         Complex automation of libraries
·         Preservation of collections and resources, this including the electronic ones.
 
Within the framework of the “Digital Century of Culture” conference there took place the annual research and practical conference of the Russian Association of Digital Libraries (NPP “ELBI”), and this was its tenth anniversary.
 
All the events of the conference were broadcast directly on the official website of the Russian Association of Digital Libraries www.aselibrary.ru, which was a chance for numerous internet users to take part in it online and to mail their question directly to the conference on mail@aselibrary.ru.
