23rd International Conference “Libraries and Information Resources in the Modern World of Science, Culture, Education and Business” 05.04.2016
6 – 14 June 2016 the city of Sudak (Crimea, Russia) hosts the second International professional forum “BOOK. CULTURE. EDUCATION. INNOVATIONS” (“Crimea 2016”). Within the framework of the forum there is going to take place the twenty – third international conference “Libraries and Information Resources in the Modern World of Science, Culture, Education and Business”.
The main theme of the conference is outlined as “Libraries and Education – Role of Electronic Resources”.
The main directions the conference follows are: 
• Digital libraries, digital collections and digitalization of funds.
• Library technologies and software for ALIS.
• Strategies of development and integration models for modern libraries.
• International cooperation in library –and – information and educational milieu.
• Publishing and book market for libraries.
• Copyright, problems of law and open access to information.
• Library education and information literacy.
• Ecology, school libraries and problems of reading.
• World information infrastructure, national information systems and national libraries.
• Innovative models for library development
and a wide range of other problematical and thematic directions.
7 June 2016 there starts work section “Digital libraries and online resources in the modern library and information environment”, which is organized with the support of the Russian State Library.
The section is going to be devoted to the questions of development and support of digital libraries – basing on the experience of diverse organizations. There are going to be discussed new technologies worked out for digital libraries and collections. Apart from all that there are going to be presented modern systems and services, as well as Internet technologies for libraries, and experience of their usage in leading libraries and universities of Russia and foreign states.

The “Crimea” forum is a world discussion site for specialists and heads of libraries, publishing houses, book – selling and book – spreading organizations, museums, archives, information centres, universities and colleges, computer and Internet companies, business, law, establishments of science, culture and education.
The twenty – third international conference “Libraries and Information Resources in the Modern World of Science, Culture, Education and Business” is, however, not the only event which is going to be held within the framework of the forum. There would also take place the second Museum Assembly and 10th International Symposium.
