Over 140 librarians and publishers, alongside with representatives of business communities from all the regions of Russia, that including the new territories, gathered together to discuss urgent matters of development of library collections and in-demand modern services, to share the experience of implementation of new technologies into the library sphere, beginning with upgrading library premises and up to bringing about advanced ideas of library marketing. The attendees of the forum events tried to evaluate the role of contemporary libraries in promoting digital cilture. Traditionally, the guests of Stavropol region could enjoy the specially prepared excursions and performances.

The "Bibliokaravan" forum was organized by the Stavropol Universal Regional Scientific Library named after M.Yu.Lermontov, with the support of the Government of Stavropol region, the Ministry of Culture of Stavropol region and of the Russian Library Association.
