Centre of Oriental Literature of the Russian State Library proceeds publishing their new videos devoted to history and culture of African and Asian states.
In March connoisseurs are welcome to get to know the peculiarities of development of such a well-known and at the same time totally strange Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We will not only broaden our personal horizons but also get rid of certain stereotypes together with Nikolai Polonsky, historian, columnist of the ROYALS journal, member of the Russian Noble Assembly and lecturer in the “Libraries of Moscow” project by the Department of culture of Moscow government. His talk “Saudi Arabia – between its past and the future”, which is the first one from the series of lectures about Oriental monarchies, is available on the link.
Irina Klimenko, gastronomic journalist, blogger and restaurant critic, is offering you to "Try out Indonesia" (click here for the video).
And finally, Lyubov Silantiyeva, a postgraduate and senior lecturer of the Department of Iranian Philology of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, will speak on the "Language diversity of Pamir".
All the lectures of the RSL Centre of Oriental Literature are available on the YouTube channel of the Russian State Library. Pop up! It’s gonna be cool!
