Expert Meeting “Potential of Usage of Digital Resources by the Establishments of Culture in the Education of Nowadays” 23.11.2024

November 20th, 2024, the Russian State Library took part in expert meting “Potential of usage of digital resources by the establishments of culture in the education of nowadays” which was held on the premises of the Presidential Library with organisational support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

The professionals of the branch and the delegates of the establishments of higher education from Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Novosibirsk, Donetsk, Lugansk and other places of Russia, came to discuss the experience and prospects of modern integrated resources in education, beginning with matters of providing knowledge of quality from the sources of authority, and up to the basics of patriotic up-bringing of the young generation. The main focus remained on practical aspects and issues of building efficient collaboration with the institutions of culture.

Vadim Andrenyuk, the librarian-in-chief of the RSL Department of library and information systems, presented his report “Digital Capabilities of the Russian State Library for Educational Establishments”. In his speech Vadim Anatoliyevich considered the main strategy of the educational activities of the RSL with the examples of the projects realized by the library for the moment. Then, he described the format of cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres and offered the statistics upon the educational establishments the Russian State Library was providing its services to. And finally, the speaker demonstrated the capabilities those organizations obtained due to the mutually beneficial cooperation.

In the year of 2024, the expert meeting was carried out for the first time, its organisers were the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and Presidential Library. Still, taking into consideration the topicality of the matters dealt with and strong interest of educational and cultural organizations of diverse levels, the event is planned to become annual, and the geography of its participants is very likely to grow considerably.
